Fresh Produce
United Salad Co. receives fresh produce seven days a week from farmers and growers all over the world. The produce received into our fully refrigerated warehouses rotates four to six times each week. Because of our diversified customer base, we carry products for large conventional stores, neighborhood ethnic stores and specialty markets. Our stock ranges from carton potatoes and haricot beans to spiny chayote and stem-and-leaf tangerines. We work to stay on top of market trends and are always looking for new and exciting produce.
Food Safety
Even though our high rate of rotation ensures extremely fresh product, our management and staff go the extra mile when it comes to food safety. Preventing food borne illness is paramount at each of our facilities.
We have a solid HACCP program in place and continually strive to exceed industry standards. Constant microbial inspection and stringent employee training programs ensure that our products are fresh, clean, and safe. Our in-house and independent product and environmental tests are in full compliance with FDA, ODA, and the EPA.
It is our belief that food safety begins in the field. We monitor our produce continually from field to store and only accept product from farmers and suppliers that uphold our philosophy and maintain the unbroken cold chain and Good Manufacturing Practices.

United Salad Co. also offers processed fresh fruits and vegetables. Whether you need product for regular daily use or a special event, we have many custom-cut products, salads, and kits available.

Organic Produce
United Salad Co. carries a full line of organic fruits and vegetables for foodservice and retail operations. We have a dedicated Organic Buyer who specializes in bringing the latest in fresh organics to our customers. We maintain dedicated “Organic Only” space in each of our warehouses.
